Jed has used his kitchen skills and creativity to develop his own sauce recipe called ‘Jed’s Bussin’ Sauce’.
Jed’s creation is used across Cup of Kindness’s Café menu and is also available to buy in bottled form in-store.
Jed is a 20-year-old participant in our café-based employment program.
‘It’s pretty rare, but I look forward to coming to work,’ Jed said.

The Cup of Kindness Café provides a safe, supportive environment for participants engaged in Support Solutions Australia’s café-based employment program.
The aim of the café is to empower its employees to build competency in café skills and increase their confidence along the way while maintaining consistent employment.
The program is designed to have staff supported one-on-one by an experienced café team member.
Tailored to each team member’s unique journey, the Cup of Kindness Café offers participants the opportunity to learn cooking, customer service and barista skills, all at their own pace.
Jed began his employment journey with the café in mid-2024, working one shift per week while completing a Certificate II in Cookery through OzHarvest’s Nourish training program.
Through this supportive environment, Jed built both confidence and practical cooking skills. He now works two days a week and continues to grow.
The Cup of Kindness Café is proud to support Jed’s bright future in hospitality and the culinary world.
