Support Solutions Australia’s support worker Jordan goes above and beyond for our clients.
On a sunny winter’s day in early July a group of Support Solutions Australia clients and their support workers gathered together at Blackbutt Reserve picnic area for a community BBQ.
Organised by Support Solutions Australia support worker, Jordan, in conjunction with another support worker Hollie and the Operations Manager Irene Pearce, the BBQ brought together separate clients of SSA for a day of relaxation, togetherness and community.
‘I think it’s great for our participants and workers to get out into the community together, so I’ll always do anything I can to help that,’ said Jordan.
Clients each brought their own meat for grilling and a snack plate to share with the group.
Consistently going above and beyond, Jordan has also recently supported a client to attend a day of camel riding at Oakfield Ranch, a trip to Sydney’s Taronga Zoo and has also planned a community fishing event to occur later in July.
‘Creating opportunities for clients to connect, build friendships, and feel part of something bigger is what Support Solutions Australia is all about. This kind of initiative reflects the genuine care and commitment that make our team truly special,’ Support Solutions Australia CEO Marileze Buys said.
‘Jordan is one of those rare few support workers who bring light, energy and genuine care into every moment with his participants,’ Support Solutions Australia Operations Manager Irene Pearce said.
‘When a participant is feeling low, he doesn’t simply offer routine encouragement; he finds a way to lift their spirit, whether it’s sharing a laugh, cooking their favourite meal together, or planning a small adventure that reminds them life is worth stepping into.’
‘Jordan has a gift for making ordinary support feel extraordinary. His presence adds sparkle—he brings enthusiasm to tasks. A trip to the grocery store becomes an opportunity for confidence building. A quiet afternoon at home becomes a chance to practice conversation skills over a new recipe,’
‘He provides hope, confidence, and a little bit of magic and I love to see how his participants smile when they are with him,’ Irene said.
